EUGENE BALDWIN SR., KERR RETIREE

Eugene E. "Pops" Baldwin Sr., 83, of 42 W. Strawberry St., formerly of Lincoln Highway East, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He retired in 1977 after 35 years with Kerr Glass, working in the machine shop as a tool and die setter. He had also worked at the Overlook, Rocky Springs and Olympic roller rinks.
Baldlwin was an avid roller skater, and in his earlier years he performed dance routines on roller skates at several area rinks.
He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Lancaster.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Anna Mary Fink Baldwin.
Surviving are four daughters, Lucille, wife of John Robertson of Orlando, Cynthia, wife of Robert Rhoads of Willow Street, Rochelle of Lancaster and Bonnie A., wife of Gordon Yohe of Marietta; four sons, Ronald E., husband of Ruth Baldwin of Silver Spring, Eugene E. Jr., husband of Kathryn Baldwin of Landisville, Gerry L., husband of Debra Baldwin of Lancaster, and Terry L., husband of Pat Baldwin of Rothsville; three sisters, Hannah Schneider, Lorraine Welch and Frances M., wife of George Clinton, all of Lancaster; a brother, Frank R., husband of Mildred Baldwin of Lancaster; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren
