John F. Furlow, Alumax retiree
John F. "Jock" Furlow, 66, of 300 Fairview Drive, Lititz, died Friday morning at Hershey Medical Center after an illness of six weeks.
He was the husband of H. Joan Miller Furlow. They were married for 43 years.
Furlow worked in the Lancaster division of Alumax Mill Products for 27 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill.
He was a member of the Manheim Lodge 587 Free & Accepted Masons, the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, the Reading Consistory and the Rajah Shrine of Reading.
Furlow was a veteran of World War II.
Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late John H. and Ada Fry Furlow.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Thomas M. of Waldeck and Daniel M. of Clayton, N.M.; two daughters, Beth Ann, wife of Norman Steffy of Schaefferstown, and Nancy J., wife of Jay Long of Brunnerville; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Jane, wife of Richard Dornes of Ephrata.
